Captain Caitlin Garcia started her career in 2007. She was hired full time as a deputy in the Detention Facility in the security division. Later transferred to the Intake/Reception area.
In May of 2011, was promoted to the Law Enforcement Bureau. In 2013, Caitlin became a detective in the Investigations Division. She specialized in crime scene interpretation/reconstruction, and evidence collection/preservation. Investigated crimes against children and sexually related crimes.
Caitlin is a certified forensic interviewer of children. She has been a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team: Child Advocacy Center, CIT Team 10th Judicial District, a Special Deputy with US Marshalls Violent Offender Task Force, Awards committee member for nine years, and Mounted Patrol Officer from 2013-2018.
In 2017 Caitlin was promoted to Sergeant in the Patrol Division. In 2018, was appointed to the Office of Professional Standards and Internal Affairs as the Inspector and received National certification in Internal Affairs. In 2021 Caitlin was promoted to Lieutenant and again returned to the Patrol Division.
Caitlin was promoted to the rank of Captain in June of 2024 and is currently assigned to the Detention Bureau as the Judicial and Intake Division Captain.
