Pueblo, Co. - Gabe Geringer, 46, was sentenced today to the maximum 60 days in the Pueblo County Jail after he pled guilty in April to unlawful sexual contact without consent (a misdemeanor). Geringer had originally been charged with felony sexual assault on a child and pattern of sexual assault on a child in connection with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl that began in 2010. Geringer was the girl’s youth pastor at Fowler Christian Church. The victim reported the assault to law enforcement in 2018. Pueblo County Sheriff’s detectives investigated the case. Geringer took the plea after his jury trial ended in mistrial earlier this year. In addition to the jail time, Geringer was sentenced to five years of probation and he must register as a sex offender for an undetermined amount of time, but for at least 10 years. He has been booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
