HOMICIDE WARRANT SERVED IN 2021 CASE

Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office announces a Homicide Warrant in the October 2021 Homicide of Raymond “Terry” Ray Jr has been served.

Nicholas Wayne Tumblin, 31 was already in custody on an unrelated murder charge when detectives from the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office served him with the warrant yesterday evening.  The new charges include Homicide, Murder 1 after Deliberation (F1) and 2nd degree Kidnapping (F3).  This is a No Bond warrant.

Raymond Ray Jr was reported missing by family members in July of 2021.  He was 24 years old at the time of his death. His body was discovered by a landowner in rural Pueblo County on August 17, 2021.

Since this is still an active investigation, we are unable to release additional details at this time.

In October of 2021, Tumblin was arrested by US Marshalls charged with the murder of 36-year-old Eric Trujillo and is awaiting trial.
