Det. W. Scott Grinstead
Grinstead has served the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office since 1997 and has had tours of duty in the Communications Bureau, Patrol Bureau and has participated as a forensic examiner in the HTCU for over 13 years.
He was selected in the latter part of 2005 to be this agency's representative to the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a multi-agency task force focusing on the predation of children on the Internet.
Grinstead holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Services. Grinstead is an adjunct instructor teaching Computer Crime Investigations at Pueblo Community College and the Pueblo Law Enforcement Academy. He has over 600 hours of instruction and has attended numerous Internet and computer crime courses including a one-week SEARCH computer crime investigations course, the National White Collar Crimes Center's Basic and Advanced Data Recovery and Analysis courses, Windows Forensic Recovery using FTK sponsored by Access Data, the basic EnCase course, Multiple NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) sponsored courses in Internet crimes against children, and is a certified Computer, PDA and Cell Phone forensic examiner, has testified in other states and is qualified as an expert witness in the state of Colorado.
